Mindful practices are an important part of our clients’ addiction treatment program at Hotel California by the Sea in Newport Beach. For many of our clients, mornings begin with a morning meditation. Meditative practices such as yoga enables the mind to settle down and the thoughts to quiet down. It is through practices such as yoga that clients are able to get beneath the choppy waves of their racing thoughts, limiting beliefs, and anxiety and learn to truly feel at peace with themselves and the world around them. Throughout our client’s stay with us in our women’s addiction rehab program, we encourage our clients to dedicate at least 30 minutes per day to meditative practices like yoga.
